The heat therapy session will consist of the following:

  • Full health check prior to session

  • Interview with the owner to discuss questions or concerns

  • Full body heat therapy of the following zones: Lower Lumbar, Scapula and Neck 

  • Full body stretching

The warm up and cool down session will consist of the following:

  • Heat therapy applied to the Lower Lumbar and Neck prior to/after a riding lesson or show

The injury recovery session will consist of the following:

  • Full health check prior to session

  • Interview with the owner to discuss injury

  • Full body heat therapy to target the injury location and increase recovery

  • Full body stretching

Why Heat Therapy ?

  • Heat therapy dilates the blood vessels of the muscles . This process increases the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, helping to heal the damaged tissue and increase the elimination of carbon dioxide and metabolic waste.

  • Heat stimulates the sensory receptors in the skin, which means that applying heat to any part of the body will decrease transmissions of pain signals to the brain and partially relieve discomfort.

  • Heat therapy will decrease stiffness, increase flexibility and improve overall feeling of comfort. Especially around the saddle and poll area on horses 

  • The Heat Pad is excellent at aiding relaxation and reducing stress

  • Four leg ice therapy

  • Full body stretching

Why IceTherapy ?
